A very happy birthday to a very special person in my life.  I have grown so close to my grandfather over the years.  I have great respect and admiration for him and his fabulous array of talents and abilities.  But above all, what always impresses and entertains me most is his wonderful ability to carry on a conversation through storytelling.  Historical anecdotes, tidbits of fun facts, personal accounts, random interjections — all informed, humorous, and relevant.  He is a tremendous role model to me in many ways, and I am truly grateful to have him in my life. 85 years young. Happy birthday, Grandpa.
